I had to learn the Hard Way… Comparison Will Kill Your Business Growth!
We know that as women, ever since high school (or even before!) we compare. We judge ourselves to another that we perhaps admire, envy, respect.
We look at other people asking ourselves in our head, sometimes aloud to a friend; What are they doing? What am I doing? When we do this within our businesses, when we compare our personal results and factors to theirs, this can and probably WILL lower our self esteem, it will increase the tendency to lower our self worth and self belief.
Comparison, having “Comparitis” is when we’re looking at other people’s businesses and how they are doing, what they are doing. Developing that self analytical eye, can cause some MAJOR problems and distractions in our life & our beloved business!
It diminishes the “well done” in our biz and life. Every time you shift your focus, comparing yourself to anyone and everyone else and not on YOUR path, YOUR life and YOUR journey. You are diminishing your own successes! Comparison will kill your business growth!
Not a good thing. Not a good place to be in within our hearts, mindset and certainly not our businesses. Don’t fret my friend, good stuff and heartfelt solutions are coming up!

Everytime your focus shifts “Comparing Yourself to Another”, you are not putting the effort that you know you could or should into your biz!
Whenever this happens we could be facing a dead end, some frustration, our business might be getting derailed and potentially making you want to QUIT… That’s NOT what we want! We know there IS success out there! Big and small everyday!
I cheer the small stories, I don’t believe in overnight success!
When we are comparing and looking at other people’s successes we are actually comparing their strengths they have grown and developed over time to our weaknesses! When people are succeeding and they’re recruiting 5, 10, 20 people a month and we haven’t even signed one person. When we are focusing on what we know we need to improve, our known personal weak points, it seems all of a sudden everyone else’s successes jump out to us!
Why? I wanna share some tips and solutions…
***We are comparing our weaknesses to their strengths. Some women are great communicators, great writers, some create great videos… Everyone has different ways to communicate to build that credibility!
***Slowly get better at sales and sponsoring people. We don’t want to compare our weaknesses to another person’s strengths. There’s years on the making for those strengths! They’ve had failures and got up…. We ALL have strengths and weaknesses!
***You don’t know the whole story of other people’s success. Women have all kinds of amazing one on one training! THOUSANDS of dollars worth of coaching, you don’t know that person’s back story, you’re only looking at the finished product! Definitely not enough people share the details of their past struggles… so make sure that YOU share the whole story! Share your temporary failures, your development, show everyone how you FALL down and how you GET UP.
***We don’t know how long other people have been on their business. Maybe this is their 7th or 11th business. Most successful women on business have been around for a while, they don’t get to the top in a year or two! You HAVE to put your time in.
***We put too much pressure on ourselves. We try to prove to everyone that matters to us what we are doing, but maybe after a while we are still struggling. Something is not clicking but we have the dream.
***We don’t allow ourselves to just enjoy the process… STOP and smell the roses! Take the focus and put it on YOU!
***Focus on what you are doing RIGHT NOW. Every couple of weeks reflect on how it’s going. Don’t do the same old and expect something different. We are unique in our strengths and weaknesses, work on your OWN personal development… get a little bit better everyday! If it’s getting easy, you need to be upping your game!
***We have this ideas in our heads that someone just got lucky. We get distracted by looking at them. But remember the grass is always greener where we water it! Envy and jealousy are the thief of our daily joys!
***Understand that luck means: Laboring Under Correct Knowledge. Being committed, building connections everyday, having conversations everyday, providing value and goodness everyday!
***We have to have energy, enthusiasm, personal growth! Attend seminars, pick up a good book, accept with an open heart and mind what your mentors and coaches are telling you. Learn the lessons and move FORWARD.
