Target Market is “Group of People to Whom Your Product/Service/Opportunity is Being Marketed” the WHO ….
In other words.. “People (consumers) who are MOST likely to buy your product or service / join opportunity 🙂
Knowing WHO your target market is will reduce your stress and frustration. Will give you more time back, better spending of your resources, efforts. Those are some pretty big rewards and benefits. Well worth your time and effort to do some “Digging” into this!!
Yes, by the way, Yes you do need to dig into this.. take this fun twist.. Think about it, knowing we are all not the same, not wanting all the same things, everyone has different perspectives and thoughts when we go shopping, when we buy. So then; why would we think we can present one single message, one blanket message and everyone would want it or receive it…
Steps to Start:
1. Write down and fully address and understand all the PROBLEMS you solve with your product/service/opportunity. List them all: Emotional, Physical, Health, Mental, Spiritual, etc.
2. In your mind paint the picture of your IDEAL PERFECT client/customer/consumer. Make a list of all that they may suffer/struggle with the problem’s and pain’s you can solve with your product, service or opportunity. What attributes do the POSSESS .. (Age, Sex, Married, Single, Kids, Income, Activities, Location, Personality, Values, Lifestyle, Attitude, Behaviors etc) What keeps them up at night? What excites them?
3. Where do they “hang out”on social media? What platform? What groups?
4. Who will GAIN from the “Value/What You Offer”; Who will have the most to lose by NOT dealing with these issues.
Defining your target market (people) is the tuffer part. Once you know who you are targeting, it is much easier to figure out how you can reach them and what marketing messages will resonate with them; leading to the last questions and another whole subject:
***Is how I am marketing drawing my target market/audience, having them engage with me? Can I reach them with my message? Is my message crafted to reach them. Is how I am currently marketing reaching my audience? Is my message connecting with my audience? Are they engaging with my message?
